The SACIA Group announces the installation of a photovoltaic self-consumption system at its facilities in Travassô, Águeda. In all, there are 1013 modules, occupying a total area of approximately 2000 m2, and an installed power of 568.29 kW.

The Group justifies the installation with its commitment to "decabornisation and sustainability, energy saving and the strategic commitment to producing its own energy".

The installation of the self-consumption production unit (UPAC) will allow energy savings of 30%. At the same time, the factory is expected to reduce its ecological footprint by avoiding the emission of 5,200 tonnes of carbon dioxide by 2048.

Another positive point that the company emphasises is that the 30% own consumption will reduce the exposure that everyone currently faces to fluctuations in the market price of electricity.

Finally, we have submitted our target on the SBTi (Science Based Targets) platform, contributing to the goal of reducing global warming by 1.5°C by the end of the century.
